    RESPONSIBILITIES

    What you can expect in this role

    As a Spectrum Intern, you’ll be essential to two teams — your respective department and your Intern peer group. Department and team-focused projects account for about 80% of your schedule. You’ll spend the other 20% on professional development sessions and networking activities, including the Kickoff Conference on May 29, webinars, community service, cross-functional project, and final presentations.

    Internship responsibilities:

    Observe and assist Inside Plant personnel with the delivery of high quality off-air, satellite, and digital transport signals to the outside plant (point of demarcation from ISP facilities) utilizing, maintaining and installing a variety of optical and electrical interfaces including but not limited to coaxial cable, fiber optic transmission, and Ethernet cable. Includes the installation, construction, operation and break-fix remediation, with root cause analysis of all equipment, including Critical Infrastructure, associated with the Headend (HE) and data centers.

    Required qualifications

    • Must be enrolled in an accredited College or University graduating with a bachelor’s degree between December 2024 - May 2025.
    • Must have at least a 3.0 GPA or greater in current program.
    • Ability to travel locally to Spectrum Intern development events and activities throughout the program.
    • Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for Charter Sponsorship.

    Preferred qualifications

    • Ability to work in a team environment.
    • Organizational skills.
    • Problem solving abilities.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
    • Ability to read, write and speak the English language to communicate with employees in a clear, straightforward, and professional manner.
    • Ability to safely use weight-bearing equipment (such as ladders) within the maximum limitations of that equipment).
    • Ability to work while standing 50 - 70% of the time.

    The pay for this position has a salary range of $22.00 to $24.00. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses.
