The Summer Intern, working within the CTP Analytics team, will be responsible for supporting the team as needed. These responsibilities will include understanding business-driven analytics and dash-boarding requests that may include network, information security, applications, and awareness and training data sets. This role will also assist with the development of dashboards used to assist with decision making at all levels of leadership (primarily to Sr. Manager and Sr. Director / Vice President-level business owners.

SPECIFIC PROJECT(S):

Assisting with process review and improvement around the analytics lifecycle. Review / grant dashboard access requests. Dashboard quality assurance testing. Depending on experience possibly using MS SQL to help with building queries.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assisting in process improvement initiatives within the CTP Analytics team.

• Creating detailed documentation outlining design and technical specifications of each solution.

• Contributing to the CTP Analytics team to prototype new models, conduct exploratory data analysis, and research data science.

• Assist with quality assurance testing of dashboards.

• Support process documentation of CTP Analytics-related operations.

• Support the CTP Analytics lifecycle throughout, including all aspects of intake, creation, review, approval, implementation, publishing, communication, and maintenance.

• Interact with cross-functional teams in various subject areas supported by the team (Vulnerability Response, Incident Response, Training and Awareness) as well as other teams in the CTP organization.

• Also responsible for other Duties/Projects as assigned by business management as needed.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to learn and gain solid understanding of T-Mobile's cybersecurity metrics and systems.  

• Possesses analytical and critical thinking skills, with strong attention to detail.  

• General knowledge of analytics and / or statistics.  

• Intermediate skill level with office software, especially Excel, and willingness to learn SQL and PowerBI.  

• Excellent communication skills.  

• Technical writing skills to produce unambiguous results.  

• Experience in collecting, organizing, synthesizing and analyzing data 

• Must be proficient and have experience using MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Currently enrolled in a 4-year degree program, graduate program, or completed their accredited degree within the last 12 months of this posting;  associated degrees include Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Analytics, Mathematics.

This role is not eligible for relocation. Intern must have reliable transportation to work in office.

T-Mobile requires all employees in this position to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19, unless precluded from doing so by applicable law. Intern wages range from $20/hour to $26/hour. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on experience/location.
