    HOW YOU’LL HELP US CONNECT THE WORLD

    As an Engineering Quality Intern, you will be responsible for supporting operational and product improvement through statistical analysis of curated data and self-constructed data sets. You will work closely with operations, engineering, and other cross functions to address product quality from a statistically analytic point of view and arrive at outstanding data-driven solutions using data platforms and creative analytical methods and techniques. This role will be based in Forest, Virginia.

    YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT BY

    • Collecting and analyzing data for statistical studies that lead to data driven decisions in the areas of quality, continuous improvement, and risk analysis. Applying statistical and mathematical models to quantify and interpret findings
    • Interpreting data for manufacturing, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
    • Identifying, analyzing, and interpreting trends or patterns in sophisticated data sets
    • Performing searches to generate standard and customized reports using statistical applications. Summarizing results of searches
    • Understanding the critical metrics required for operations and provide support to operational teams in building reports
    • Applying the most efficient process of data collection and coding. Checking validity and accuracy of data.
    • Developing analytic capabilities (e.g., advanced analysis, predictive modeling, processes) that drive insight/outcomes for various partners
    • Developing and implementing databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION

    • Junior or Senior standing in a BS, BA or master’s degree in an Engineering field from an accredited university
    • Proven strong academic performer with a minimum GPA of 3.0
    • Data Science knowledge such as Data Wrangling, Exploratory Data analysis
    • Language knowledge/experience such as: Python, HQL/SQL, R, Scala, C/C++, Java, HTML/CSS
    • Knowledgeable of statistical methods such as regression, probability analysis, risk analysis, statistical process control, and clustering and using statistical packages for analyzing datasets
    • Data visualization tools such as Power BI and Excel
    • Adept at queries, report writing and communicating findings
    • Analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills to optimally communicate both verbal and written thoughts, ideas, and facts
    • Ability to work in coordination with others in cross functional teams and independently
    • Exhibit curiosity and the desire to explore new possibilities and solutions to deliver innovative solutions to complex problems
