    CommScope is looking to add a FEDERAL ACCOUNT MANAGER to our Federal Account team. This role will allow you to work remotely from the WASHINGTON DC, NORTHERN VA, OR SOUTHERN MD area. The ideal candidate will be currently located in the territory or open to relocating to the territory.

    HOW YOU'LL HELP US CONNECT THE WORLD.

    The Federal Account Manager role is accountable for direct prospecting, pipeline development, and sales engagement with named agencies and accounts. Teamwork and a driven demeanor will be key to your success.

    Applicants should have experience in selling infrastructure solutions for wired and wireless Federal accounts to high-level management and other decision-makers. The successful candidate will have a consistent track record of sales leadership, account and revenue development within the network cabling industry, and in-depth sales experience within a channel sales environment. OEM experience is preferred but VAR reseller experience is acceptable.

    Knowledge of setting up and selling through distribution and VAR partners is important and a good knowledge of VARs/distributors in the territory is important. A creative approach to solving problems is essential.

    Good knowledge of infrastructure solutions is critical, and a reasonable understanding of wired and wireless networking is advantageous. This person will preferably be able to demonstrate some capability in terms of presenting products to customers, a solid grasp of large channel organizations and integrated solution-selling, and be comfortable engaging with cross-functional teams.     REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION:

    • 2+ years of solution and service-based Federal sales experience within a cabling infrastructure and/or related high-technology business environment.

    • A proven history of new business development success with the ability to identify and generate sales leads/opportunities.

    • Experience working with Salesforce or Dynamics CRM.

    • Outstanding communication skills - verbal and written - able to capture relevant information and effectively document and communicate findings to senior leadership.

    • Ability to work effectively and contribute as a team member.

    • Talent in managing a set of accounts, including forecasting, quota attainment, sales presentations, and short-term, and long-term opportunity management.

    • Proven track record in growing revenue and quota achievement.

    • Excellent knowledge of multiple platforms in correlation with wireless networking, competitors, and market landscape.
