As part of the award-winning program, you have a network of peers who share your drive and a community of mentors invested in your success, helping you grow both personally and professionally.

    Spectrum Scholars is an educational program for eligible rising college juniors with financial need. The annual program awards college students $20,000.00 each, half during their junior year and half during their senior year.

    The application deadline is Friday, April 3, 2026; winners will be announced this summer, and scholarships will be awarded in summer 2026. If you are interested in becoming a Spectrum Scholar, please apply now.

    Requirements:

    To be considered, applicants must:

    • Be a rising college junior graduating May 2028 - August 2028 pursuing a Bachelor's degree.
    • Demonstrate financial need.
    • Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
    • Have authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for employer sponsorship now or in the future.
    • Explore summer internship opportunities with Spectrum.
    • Must participate and successfully complete all program-related activities.
    • Reside within 50 miles of a Charter corporate office in Stamford, CT, Charlotte, NC, St. Louis, MO, Denver, CO, Austin, TX (school or residence). 
    • Major aligns with business unit needs for internship opportunities at their location.

    History:

    To date, the program has awarded $1.8 million in financial assistance and opened new doors for 90 students.
