    We are looking for a summer intern that will provide analytics and data visualization support for the service Assurance team within the Regional Operations Group. This role will include the utilization of RAN KPIs and metrics. A key part of the role will also involve developing the strategies for improving operational metrics and driving efficiencies within the Central Region. This role will also assist with the development of dashboards used to assist with decision making at all levels of leadership (primarily to Sr. Manager, Director, and Sr. Director)

    What you will do

    • Develop an understanding of the radio access network and the key metrics that T-Mobile monitors to ensure that their network is always available to their customers.

    • Use SQL to pull network stats and develop data models

    • Build, maintain and improve forward facing Power BI based tools for use by market leaders to view, analyze, and modify information.

    • Assist with the development of the Weekly Ops Service Assurance Presentation.

    • Develop the Quarterly Ops Review.

    • Interact with cross-functional teams in various subject areas supported by the team

    Qualifications

    • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program in Computer Science, Data Science

    • Ability to learn and gain solid understanding of T-Mobile's Radio Access network and its metrics that govern the operations of said network.

    • Basic understanding of operations and network maintenance

    • Possesses analytical and critical thinking skills, with strong attention to detail.

    • General knowledge of statistics.

    • Intermediate skill level with office software, especially Excel, and willingness to learn SQL and Power-BI.

    • Excellent communication skills.

    • Technical writing skills to produce unambiguous results.

    • Must be proficient and have experience using SQL, MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint),

    • Working toward BSC in Computer Science or Software Development or Data Analytics

    Additional Details

    • This role is 100% in office.  You must be able to work in Overland Park, KS – relocation IS NOT provided.

    • Employer does not sponsor work visas for this position. Note that this also applies to individuals who are students in F-1 status who desire sponsorship after they complete their education

    • Intern wages vary from $20/hour to $40/hour. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on experience/location
