Business Architecture and Product Management

The Business Architecture team owns two enterprise models: the Uncarrier Journey Model and the Business Capability Model, which serve as a common language to help the business and IT mutually agree upon what is needed to deliver IT solutions for our customers. This internship will involve working closely with business architects to enhance these models and to help create and keep business process documentation aligned with the models.

In addition, the Business Architecture team is the product owner for a custom, enterprise software tool called the FIT. The team is updating this tool to meet several use-cases tied to our new Agile environment, particularly helping other product managers to have a structured way to apply Common Language to their everyday product work. This internship will participate in the process of design, review, training, adoption, and support--enabling product managers to effectively use the new features in the tool.

What You'll Do

• Work closely with business architects and business/IT stakeholders to elicit information required to accurately enhance or extend our Common Language models
• Produce detailed and accurate output based on the above conversations, and learn how to represent this output in the enterprise tools available
• Understand the Business Architecture conceptual models, and develop the ability to think about how to apply them to everyday business processes or customer experiences
• Help end-users of the FIT tool to apply Business Architecture concepts in their approach to Product Management (this will involve some tool-based support, but goes beyond just the "point-and-click" aspects of the tool)
• Glean insight based on experience working with end-users of the FIT that can be turned into actionable improvements to the tool

Preferred Qualifications

• Must live pr have a place to stay in Bellevue, WA or Frisco, TX
• Relocation will not be provided for this role
• Currently enrolled in a bachelors program in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field graduating after 2023
• Strong data manipulation skills via SQL, Excel, Power BI, etc

Intern wages vary from $20/hour to $40/hour. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on experience/location.

T-Mobile requires all employees in this position to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19, unless precluded from doing so by applicable law.
