    The Procurement team is looking for a summer intern to assist with driving strategic sourcing initiatives for T-Mobile’s indirect categories including Human Resources, Finance, Consulting, Credit and Risk, Fleet, Promotions, Travel, Events Management, Office Supplies, Accessibility, etc.  The role will include building relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to drive strategy, negotiate pricing and other commercial terms, as well as managing sourcing events (RFx). Throughout the summer, the intern will be participating in research projects to build category profiles including market assessments and long-range market forecasts. The intern will be communicating with all levels of the organization.  The role may include ensuring supplier performance, issue tracking and resolution, project status communication and risk assessment. The intern will have an opportunity to assess current procurement processes and compare those to best practices.

    CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Develop and Manage Sourcing Events (RFP, RFI, RFQ)
    • Negotiation and Contract Authoring
    • Assist with Development of Category Strategy
    • Develop Category Cards
    • Category Spend Analysis
    • Build Relationships with Cross-Functional Teams (Business Units, Legal, Risk Management, etc.)
    • Category Research
    • Process best practices

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Finance, Accounting, Business, Marketing, Economics, or Engineering.
    • Possesses analytical and critical thinking skills, with strong attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Coursework in Procurement, Sourcing, Supply chain Operations, Logistics and/or Business
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
    • General understanding of Business/Finance concepts
    • Adapt to potential work interruptions and changes in priorities

    This role is not eligible for relocation. Intern must have reliable transportation to work in office.

    Employer does not sponsor work visas for this position. Note that this also applies to individuals who are students in F-1 status who desire sponsorship after they complete their education.

    T-Mobile requires all employees in this position to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19, unless precluded from doing so by applicable law.
