    This intern will be responsible for leading all aspects of specific identity management small-scale projects. This includes project planning, execution, timing, functionality, quality, communication and cost to manage the completion of work for specific IDM work. Controls the critical path, contingencies, scope changes and budget. Coordinates the day-to-day activities of the project team and provides status updates and creates PowerPoint presentations. The overall responsibility is to ensure that the project is delivered on time, within budget, meets or exceeds expectations with updates in Jira.

    The Product and Technology team is responsible for Identity Management and ensuring secure access to systems. This internship has the potential to allow the candidate to flex into the engineering side of the team as well. This position will allow the intern to learn how identity data APIs are kept secure with multiple system integrations, how permissions are created, how reporting for user access reviews need to be part of every design.

    WHAT YOU'LL DO

    • Supports IT partner teams responsible for projects. Includes scheduling meetings and tasks related to project execution.

    • Creates and maintains project documentation by adhering to the regulatory standards of the initiative. Assists the project manager in creating and maintaining the overall project schedule.

    • Produces status reports for review with the project manager and follow-up on outstanding items.

    • Participates in project meetings and support the facilitator in every way possible to ensure seamless execution.

    • Prepares meeting materials and take meeting minutes to share with the project manager for review.

    • Creates weekly projects audits to ensure accurate time charged per phase.

    • Facilitates follow-up with corresponding resource to identify, track, review, and monitor: project tasks, status reports, issues/risks, Lessons Learned, budget reconciliation.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Must live or have a place to stay in Overland Park, KS.

    • This role will not provide relocation.

    • Must be pursing a full-time degree (Bachelors or Masters) and graduating after 2023. Related programs may be – Business Management, Project Management, Engineering, or related fields.

    • Proficient in MS Office programs including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, MS Project.

    • Eagerness to learn and contribute in a team environment.

    • Ability to take ownership and ask for help when needed.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    • Strong Excel proficiency – ability to write formulas and macros, create reports.

    • Interested in technology and project management.

    • Knowledge or understanding of Jira tool

    • Knowledge or understanding of Agile Methodology

    • Interest in flexing into the engineering side of the team. (Knowledge of Java Spring/Spring Boot, Apigee, Microservices, SOAP, JSON, REST and API development preferred.)

    The average pay for this role ranges from $23-$35/hour. Pay will be determined by level of experience.

    Employer does not sponsor work visas for this position. Note that this also applies to individuals who are students in F-1 status who desire sponsorship after they complete their education.
