The Radio Technology Development and Strategy Team within T-Mobile USA’s (TMUS) is responsible for conducting technology and industry research and completing the evaluation and development of new 5G radio-focused technologies to support our business objectives. The Intern will support Principal Engineers in evaluation and testing of new technologies as well as business case analysis and recommendations to the business.

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Evaluate and develop an understanding of the business benefit of select new 5G radio-focused technologies 

• Develop test plans and assist in proof of concept, lab and field testing of select new technologies 

• Assist in the development of cost/benefit analysis and development of management recommendations for new technologies 

• Do industry research on emerging technologies and spectrum related issues relevant to the T-Mobile business

FUNCTIONAL AND TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• Strong problem-solving abilities and strong critical thinking. 

• Passion and enthusiasm for Technology to solve business problems 

• Interest and desire to learn new technology and work hands on with testing activities 

• Some understanding of Electrical Engineering principles  

• Proficient in MS Office Suite 

• Strongly prefer individuals that have completed coursework in RF, Wireless or Antenna Theory topics

EDUCATION:

• Pursuing a Degree in Electrical Engineering

Relocation, including summer housing, may be available for qualified candidates.

Average salary for technical summer internships is $30/hour
