This internship role will provide the Procurement organization with reporting and insights surrounding upcoming contracts. The insight our area provides is assisting leadership with prioritization and ensures they are prepared for negotiations. The intern will be working on projects surrounding Operational Reporting and Insights throughout the summer.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Analyze current process standards and metrics to provide solutions for improvements.
Optimize existing root cause analysis process by designing, implementing, and testing new procedures.
Perform ad-hoc analysis using SQL, and ETL skills along with report building as the business dictates.
Use problem solving skills to analyze large and complex business problems by preparing and building greater insights through the collection and analysis of data trends.
Apply expertise in quantitative analysis and the presentation of data to deliver analytical results to technical and non-technical audiences and partner with them to identify the right actions.
Act as a consultative and strategic partner for cross-functional teams from business, data science, engineering, process, and product teams to build & improve the analytical experience on our existing suite of our reporting products.
Define, build, and track key performance metrics to measure success and iterate on opportunities for optimization .
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
Working towards or recently completed Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics or similar.
Experience with data analytics, data modeling, data management, and data reporting and visualization (Tableau, PowerBI or similar tools)
Advanced Excel skills (Pivots, dimensional modeling, linking to external data sources)
Excellent communications and interpersonal skills. Ability to convince other strong personalities of their ideas and work with partners in problem solving.
Attention to detail with self-discipline and a drive for results.
Problem-solving skills, self-confidence, and strong leadership qualities.
Relocation, including summer housing, may be available for qualified candidates.

Intern wages range from $20/hour to $40/hour. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on experience/location
