    T-Mobile is interviewing candidates for a paid summer internship position on the Strategic Alliances and External Affairs team, located in Washington, D.C. You’ll be part of the team that manages relationships and engages with third-party organizations to underscore T-Mobile’s good citizenship before an audience of government leaders, diverse organizations, and a variety of external constituencies. We manage and lead relationships with national and local trade associations, think tanks, public interest groups, and an array of external partners across the country. These relationships help amplify and support the strategic policy campaigns in which we help build, implement and maintain. We advocate on behalf of the company to community organizations, policymakers, and key influencers. We are a cross-functional team who works in support of, and complimentary to, T-Mobile's business, regulatory, legislative, diversity and inclusion, and supplier diversity goals. As the epicenter of strategic relationship building, our team provides an invaluable resource to other business units, offering insights on national trends and a bridge to credible third-party advocacy ultimately supporting T-Mobile’s overall policy and underlying business objectives. Some of our primary focus issues include competition, broadband regulation, broadband adoption and accessibility, and consumer issues.

    • Research and prepare written content, presentations, and reference materials for team communications and outreach.

    • Capture achievements in advocacy efforts.

    • Attend hearings and briefings on behalf of team.

    • Find opportunities for team engagement on Social Media, and partner with Principal on creation of draft outreach.

    • Design evergreen resources for team efficiency.

    • Work cross-functionally with members in Strategic Alliances and External Affairs team and its partners across T-Mobile, including Government Affairs, Legal Affairs, Human Resources, and Corporate Social Responsibility.

    • Excellent research and analysis skills.

    • Proven verbal and written communication skills.

    • Ability to work in a fast-paced and innovative work environment.

    • Excellent decision making and problem-solving skills.

    • High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

    • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

    • Photoshop, R Studios, Google Suite, Stata

    • Must live or have place to stay in DC Metro area.

    • Rising Senior working toward a Bachelor’s degree, or on track to acquire a graduate or professional degree within the next year (2023). Studying political science, corporate social responsibility, english, government, history, or similar.

    • Knowledge of or curiosity about the wireless industry preferred.

    • Publication experience (e.g., school paper, law review) preferred.

    • Prior intern or volunteering experience preferred.

    • Graphic design experience a plus.

    • Strong social media proficiency is considered a plus.

    • Innovative attitude, teamwork, detailed, strategic problem solver.
