    Finance at T-Mobile offers a fast-paced and team-focused environment that will grow your Finance & leadership skills as you help craft the success of the Un-carrier. You will work across the different functions at T-Mobile & make a difference in how we do business. The intern will have the opportunity to learn about and contribute to T-Mobile’s efforts to ensure we appropriately own the risk posed to the company by third party relationships.     WHAT YOU WILL DO

    • Prescribe risk assessments, analyze results, and report results on observed risks and mitigating factors evaluated 

    • Interact directly with third parties and work with T-Mobile Subject Matter Authorities to evaluate and apply risk assessment criteria (aligned with T-Mobile Policy) 

    • Leverage internal and external business intelligence to advise risks 

    • Engage and partner with Procurement, Information Security, Privacy, Legal & Compliance, Network Engineering, and internal Business Owners to maintain a service model that advises the business of key risks, limits unnecessary impediments, and improves efficiencies 

    • Provide support for compliance functions, including oversight and evaluation of security protocols impacting T-Mobile cellular networks and vendors’ compliance with pertinent U.S. laws, regulations, and data protection requirements

     

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Currently enrolled in either a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Business, Risk Management,  or similar graduating in 2023 or 2024

    • Excellent Microsoft Office Suite Skills 

    • Outstanding data analysis, organizational, and prioritization skills with a strong attention to detail 

    • Excellent interpersonal, work ethic, and presentation skills 

    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with ambiguity 

    • Demonstrate critical thinking skills to identify risks and understand interrelationships among different risk factors and fields 

    • Communicate effectively through multiple mediums (electronic and in-person), write clearly and effectively, and document findings appropriately and completely 

    • Demonstrate credibility with business partners and leadership, appropriately influence business decisions, and exercise strong business judgment 

    • Demonstrate an ability to work independently but seek appropriate input and feedback 

    • Understand and adopt technology and reporting tools to support the program and continually mature 

    • Must live or have place to stay in Overland Park, KS

    • Employer does not sponsor work visas for this position. Note that this also applies to individuals who are students in F-1 status who desire sponsorship after they complete their education.

    • Intern wages vary from $20/hour to $40/hour. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on experience/location
