This is an 11-week paid learning experience during which you'll be able to connect and network with other interns and leaders within the company. As an Associate Software Engineer specializing in the Salesforce Platform, you will contribute to the design, development, and integration of scalable, high-impact solutions. Working alongside experienced engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders, you'll gain hands-on experience with enterprise architecture, API integrations, CI/CD pipelines, and Salesforce platform capabilities. This is a growth-focused role designed to provide mentorship, exposure to enterprise systems, and a clear career path within T-Mobile's technology organization.
What It's Like
Our team plays a critical role in enabling T-Mobile's Retail and Frontline operations by developing applications that support thousands of employees in their daily workflows. We deliver scalable, reliable solutions that streamline processes, improve efficiency, and ensure smooth execution across Retail channels. With a portfolio of more than 60 applications-including onboarding tools, store operations management, and cross-functional case management systems-we provide the technology foundation that keeps Retail running effectively. Our work directly impacts employee productivity, customer experience, and overall operational excellence at T-Mobile.
What You'll Do
As a summer intern on our team, you will have the opportunity to work directly with Salesforce technology, contributing to real-world solutions that support T-Mobile's Retail and Frontline operations. Throughout the internship, you will enhance or build new Salesforce features that help business teams streamline their routine processes and operate more efficiently. You will also focus on automation initiatives, learning how to identify manual workflows and convert them into scalable, automated solutions that improve accuracy, speed, and user experience. This hands-on work will give you meaningful exposure to Salesforce's capabilities, development tools, and best practices, as well as insight into how the platform supports a company as large and dynamic as T-Mobile. By the end of the summer, you will have gained practical technical skills, contributed to impactful business solutions, and developed a deep understanding of how Salesforce powers our organization. Key Responsibilities
What It Takes
Familiarity with Agile frameworks and full - stack development (Required)
Experience with at least one Object-Oriented Programming language such as Java or C++ (Required)
Proficiency working with SQL and dynamic queries (Required)
Experience with version control and CI/CD tools such as Git, GitLab, or Jenkins (Required)
Exposure to Salesforce development (Apex, LWC, Aura) or enterprise APIs (REST/SOAP) (Preferred)
Knowledge of event-driven systems and scalable architecture patterns (Preferred)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong communicator, able to bridge technical and business discussions (Required)
Customer-first mindset with focus on usability and adoption (Required)
Ability to learn quickly and apply data -driven insights to problem-solving (Required)

Licenses and Certifications:
Salesforce Platform Developer I certification ( Encouraged, supported by T-Mobile)
Salesforce Administrator certification (Optional)
At least 18 years of age
Legally authorized to work in the United States
Must be actively enrolled in a Bachelors or Graduate degree program
Employees of T-Mobile or Metro by T-Mobile are ineligible for Internships

Relocation assistance may be provided to program participants who reside more than 50 miles from the internship location.
Intern wages range from $20/hour to $40/hour. The successful candidate's actual pay will be based on experience and role type.
