COMMSCOPE IS HIRING A UI DEVELOPER. THIS IS A REMOTE OPPORTUNITY, AND THE INCUMBENT CAN BE BASED ANYWHERE WITHIN UNITED STATES.

HOW YOU'LL HELP US CONNECT THE WORLD:

As a member of our converged network solutions group, you will contribute to products that are used for advertising insertion into over the top (HLS, DASH) video. Our ideal incumbent will be a great teammate who will work on our products using Agile principles. You will make an impact by creating user interfaces using node.js and Angular but will also author code to increase our automated test coverage to help accelerate our product development cycles.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent work experience

• Experience in User Interface development using angular and node.js or similar

• Strong fluency in Linux environments

YOU WILL EXCITE US IF YOU HAVE:

• 1+ years of corporate software engineering experience.

• Experience in networking, storage, server, Linux, and cloud technologies.

• Knowledge of release engineering: build, integration, deployment, and provisioning.

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform or Amazon EC2 deployments and virtual machines.

• Good interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams.

• Ability to simplify complex concepts.

• Experience authoring user interfaces.

• Familiarity with over-the-top video delivery protocols: HLS and DASH, network programming and debugging. C/C++ development and debugging skills.

• Familiarity with defect tracking systems such as Jira.

• Good understanding of virtualization technologies: VMware, Docker, Kubernetes, and KVM. Scripting (shell, perl, python, or ansible) and/or programming skills and the ability to develop custom tool integrations.

• Familiarity with clustered systems and Integration between multiple systems using their published API’s.

• Kubernetes/OKD/OCP configuration and management.

• Experience using and developing Grafana dashboards and queries.

• Expertise using version control systems like Git.

• Configurating and maintenance of database technologies such as Cassandra, MariaDB, Elastic.

• Familiarity with Kibana query language, and alert generation.

• Experience using configuration management tools such as Salt, Ansible, Chef, Puppet.

• Familiarity with test execution.

ANTICIPATED ANNUAL BASE SALARY RANGE

Dependent on candidate's work location, experience and qualifications: $70,000 - $115,000
