    JOB SCOPE

    The Video Operations Systems and Guides Engineering intern will assist in the area of programming changes as it pertains to lineups, entitlements, and packaging. Additionally tasks may include coordinating and planning, data validations as it pertains to those activities.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Basic experience in installing and configuring software and configuration files in UNIX / Linux based environments

    • Basic ability to troubleshoot (java- national ) applications in a Unix / Linux environment Capable of reading and understanding process flow diagrams

    • Some Experience in installing and configuring SQL and NOSQL database environments

    • Basic Scripting skills (e.g., shell scripts, Perl, Ruby, Python)

    • Some experience in the administration and performance tuning of application stacks (e.g.,Tomcat, JBoss, Apache, Ruby, NGINX)

    BASIC / MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • Working towards Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS or equivalent technical field or work experience

    • Experience with data collection, analysis, and presentation a plus

    • Familiar with Version Control Systems (GIT, SVN, RCS, CVS)

    • Basic/Working Knowledge with automation software (e.g., Puppet, Ansible, Chef)

    ADDITIONAL SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office

    The pay for this position has a minimum of $20.00. The actual salary offer may be higher as we carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses.
