IT - Summer 2018** The Auto Club Group Internship program for Information Technology full-time (Monday through Friday), paid internship opportunity beginning June 11 2018 through August 24, 2018. **What its all about ** We are looking for unique individuals that can help transform our organization. This is a brand new internship program that will have many opportunities to shape for the future. The Auto Club Group (ACG) provides membership, travel, insurance and financial services offerings to approximately 9 million members and customers across 11 states and 2 U.S. territories through the AAA, Meemic and Fremont brands. ACG belongs to the national AAA federation and is the second largest AAA club in North America. Learn about the Auto Club Group and assigned business line products and services by receiving training through corporate education and/or on-the-job training. Assignments are based on business line needs, but should encompass professional level work that may include: gathering information, providing analysis and drawing conclusions and/or developing recommendations, conducting department business/system audits, developing reports, performing mathematical calculations for various transactions, selling and servicing of various ACG/affiliated products, etc. Program Components: * Must be available during the entire internship period as determined by department * Project-focused, with specific group assignments and time to work together as a team * Individual assignments to assist Intern in gaining understanding of the day-to-day aspects of working in the department * Other program components as determined by department Responsibilities may include (but are not limited to): * Create or update automation scripts (Linux scripting, VRA, VRO, etc.) * Assist with application and middleware configuration update * Install and manage CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Artifactory, GitHub, Gerrit, SonarQube * Troubleshoot application / middleware related issues OR * iOS Development * Android Development * Ionic Development * Troubleshoot and diagnose mobile app development/maintenance. * Working with senior staff to evaluate and maintain backlog items * Assists in management and execution of the brainstorm/design session Preferred Qualifications: **What would work best ** * Student working towards a Bachelors degree in the Information Technology, Mathematics, or Engineering * Interesting and diverse background with a wide variety of life experience * Swift, Objective-C, Java, iOS Mobile SDK and Android SDK * Java Application Servers such as Tomcat and JBoss * High energy with a stubbornness to change things for the better * CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Artifactory, GitHub, Gerrit, SonarQube * Troubleshoot application / middleware related issues * Demonstrated leadership in school and in life * The ability to keep ahead of a very fast pace * Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes desirable Work Environment: Works in a temperature-controlled office environment.
