Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Six months of related experience in the station, ramp, hub, or safety roles, along with knowledge of shipping or processing dangerous goods packages.
- Technical Skills: The ability to lift 50 pounds and maneuver heavier packages with assistance or appropriate equipment, along with completing the required dangerous goods and spill cleanup training. You must be able to read and understand manuals, regulations, charts, and tables, and communicate effectively.
- Certifications: Current dangerous goods certification (e.g., IATA, DOT)
- Computer Literacy: Experience with computers, including mainframe, PC, and internet/intranet applications, can be beneficial.
- Soft Skills: Attention to detail, effective communication, and problem-solving skills are crucial for this role. Maintaining a constant state of alertness and working in a safe manner is also essential.
