Qualifications
What You Need
- 5+ years of heavy aviation structures / aircraft sheet metal mechanic experience
- Hands-on experience in aircraft structural assembly, preferably on Boeing, Gulfstream, or similar aerospace platforms
- Strong experience with riveting, drilling, blueprint reading, fitting, fabrication, and aircraft structural assembly
- Ability to successfully complete required skills assessments, including verbal, virtual, hands-on assessments, and a plate test
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions
- Experience using fabrication hand tools and precision measuring equipment
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
- Availability to work 1st and/or 2nd shift after training , as business needs require
- Availability to work overtime, including evenings and weekends as needed
- Ability to wear a respirator and other required safety equipment
- High School Diploma or GED
Physical Requirements
- Candidates must be able to:
- Regularly lift and move up to 30 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
- Stand, walk, bend, reach, stoop, and work in various physical positions
- Use hands frequently and maintain steady hand-eye coordination
- Communicate clearly and follow verbal and written instructions
