 Akebia is seeking an intern to join the Procurement team. This intern will work with the Sourcing Senior Director in the support of the Quarterly Management Reporting process, the Procurement Tracking Tool, the development of an Approved Supplier List (ASL), and the population of the Conga Contract repository.

Required Skills

As the Procurement Intern you will: 

• The intern will work closely with the Senior Director in the preparation of the Sourcing Management Report, development of the ASL and the updating of the Procurement Tracker and loading of contracts into Conga in collaboration with the legal group.
• The intern will learn an overview and the fundamentals of Strategic Sourcing, Management reporting and how to determine ASL selection criteria
• Knowledge of Strategic Sourcing and the underlying tools and processes to deliver value to the Company.

Required Experience

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Currently enrolled in a full-time undergraduate, graduate, or post-graduate program in accredited college or university with a concentration in: Business Admin, Procurement, Finance, Logistics or Supply Chain.
• Be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must be 18 years or older
• Minimum GPA of 3.2

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Microsoft Office Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, Word, and PowerPoint
• Strong analytic skills
• Self starter
• Excellent interpersonal skills
