Job Description Allied Universal is currently seeking an IT Applications Administrator to provide applications support to maximize customer satisfaction, end user experience, and product uptime for core applications provided and hosted by the IT Applications team in a 24/7/365 highly available environment. The individual will become a subject matter expert in application functionality and use within the business environment. The individual will be the primary escalation point for all application issues for business units and the IT Support Desk. The individual will partner with the training department on training materials and product rollouts.nbsp; nbsp; Internal candidates with strong problem solving skills and winteam expertise are encouraged to apply. nbsp; This position will also be responsible for serving as the administrator for many applications where he/she will configure, administer and suggest ways to better utilize the applications to help the organization meet its business objectives. Other responsibilities will include partnering with the training department on training materials for new applications, assisting with product roll outs, and participating in application enhancement projects. nbsp; KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: * Serve as Subject Matter Expert for applications assigned to Administrator. * Application issue resolution: accept escalated application issues from the IT Support Desk and business units. Perform analysis and provide primary issue resolution for reported application issues. Coordinate with software vendors and Allied Universalrsquo;s developers as needed. * Responsible for application security and configuration functions to meet business needs. * Assist in providing 24/7 critical support for supported mission critical business applications. * Deploy and test enhancements to current software or the interoperability of off the shelf software. Develop test plans, coordinate User Acceptance Testing, communicate and provide feedback to IT management and other stakeholders on test results (defects, bugs, errors, successes/failures). * Participate in projects that are aligned with the applications being supported by the IT Applications Administrator and used to achieve the business objectives of Allied Universal. * Release management: provide documentation and/or work with Training department to educate the end user population on new features available in applications. * Document business practices and workflows related software applications. * Occasional travel and overtime to meet project deadlines * Participate and contribute as a positive role model to Allied Universal's IT Department and to the organization as a whole * Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems. * Build relationships with third party software developers and in house development teams to gain an understanding of application architectures, required functionality and issues in program logic. * Periodically perform data cleansing activities in the applicable databases. * Develop reports, dashboards and processes to continuously monitor data quality and integrity. QUALIFICATIONS: * A minimum of annbsp;Associates Degree innbsp;Information Technology, Computer Science or related field isnbsp;required * A minimum of 3 years of work experience is required with a minimum of 2 years working in administration or management of security business * Able to conduct research into application issues and products * Proven experience with troubleshooting principles, methodologies and issue resolution techniques. * Manual software testing is required and with automated tools is a plus. * Demonstrate ability to take initiative, successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing assignments, and effectively manage deadlines. * Must be highly proficient and fully functional in all Microsoft Office applications and able to effectively utilize all available office management technology. * Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills required with the ability to successfully interact at all levels of the organization while functioning as a team player. * Strong organizational skills and time management skills. * Highly self-motivated and directed, with excellent attention to detail. * Excellentnbsp;verbal nbsp;and nbsp;written nbsp;communication nbsp;skills nbsp;required nbsp;with nbsp;the nbsp;ability nbsp;to successfully interact at all levels of the organization while functioning as a team player. *CB~Corp Closing Allied Universal provides unparalleled service, systems and solutions to the people and business of our communities, and is North Americarsquo;s leading security services provider.
