Information Technology Intern Location US-WI-Appleton Job ID 2018-1805 Expected Results The I.T. department provides computer technology and telephony to the corporation along with hardware and software support. The technology and support is delivered through Applications, PC Support, Computer Operations, Infrastructure and Telecommunications areas. Interns are expected to become proficient in minimally three of the areas with a chance to gain knowledge in all five areas based on need at the time. Initial duties will depend on the interns education and previous experience. Also, area assignments will reflect business needs. All interns will be required to work a portion of their week in PC Support and in support of Computer Operations Supporting Activities Duties will vary: Assist customers with questions, issues and requests Image and deploy computers Software installation SCCM and SCEP client install remediation Help maintain VMware VM's and Dell Wyse Thin Clients Hardware/Software upgrades/troubleshooting Computer and Phone moves and setups Phone Moves/Adds/Deletes as required Virus remediation as required Required Prior Accomplishments - Experience - Skills Must be currently enrolled in a Computer related degree program Ability to work 15-20 hours during the school year and fulltime during school breaks Working knowledge of computing hardware, software and Windows OS Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software Ability to learn quickly Detail, task oriented individual who can follow technical instructions accurately Good communication skills Customer Service Skills Ability to work independently Reliable Completes assigned work in a timely manner Self-motivated Candidates must be full-time students to be considered for the internship or part-time students in a business-related graduate program. Candidates should be able to work 15-20 hours per week during the semester, with full-time hours potentially available during school breaks and in the summer.
