Our Internship Program provides exposure to Ascent Leadership, internship events, and opportunities for employment post-graduation. Our Talent Acquisition team is excited to speak with you regarding our robust Internship Program!What You’ll DoUnder close supervision, assists with operations or trade functions for specific clients while learning the basics of freight forwarding and customs brokerage.Takes initiative to troubleshoot issues as they arise while learning Supply Chain standards, policies, and procedures.Under close supervision, assists with ocean/air tracking, container dray management, customs entry filing, AES filing, and ocean pricing.Collaborates cross-functionally with Ascent staff, acting as a liaison between business and stakeholders.Participates in Internship events with peers and program leaders.What You’ll BringCurrent full-time enrollment as a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior in an accredited college majoring in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related fieldSelf-starter, proactive problem solver with the ability to work on assignments independentlyTeam player with strong verbal and written communication skillsOrganized, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize deadlines/assignmentsProficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, TeamsMust be fluent in verbal and written EnglishAbility to pass a pre-employment screening process including a background check and drug screenWe are unable to sponsor international candidates at this timeAdditional ConsiderationsEmployment is not contingent upon COVID-19 vaccination statusProposed Hourly Base Pay: $17.00
