Temporary Veterinary Medical Data Entry Associate ASPCA 75 reviews - New York, NY Part-time, Temporary Research and Development is looking for 2-3 Temporary Data Entry Associates to prepare veterinary medical data for analysis at the ASPCAs Kitten Nursery in New York, New York. The work involves entering data from various sources including animal shelter software and veterinary medical charts into one pre-determined format. The project team will provide training on how to utilize software data and medical charts for data entry. This position works primarily with Research & Development and Kitten Nursery medical staff, reporting to the Director of Research and Development Project Operations. This position is responsible for reading veterinary medical records, pulling out the relevant information and entering it into a data collection file. Responsibilities: * Read electronic and paper medical records. Recognize and record data as instructed. * Enter, compile and organize data so it can be forwarded to project team for analysis. * Clean and edit data for analysis. * Adjust data entry process when needed as determined by the project team * Provide needed data, report on project status and provide results to project team on a routine basis. * Provide feedback to project team on data quality and consistency. Flag issues that require data team attention. Education and Experience: * Associate Degree or higher preferred * Vet tech experience preferred * Must have 2-3 years of professional work experience in data entry and quality assurance of data * Must have 1-2 years of experience in working with veterinary medicine terminology Additional Information:
