OVERVIEW The Supply Chain Inventory Planning Analyst will have many of the same responsibilities as the Supply Chain Planner, but on a reduced scale at a more tactical level. This entry level role will be accountable for scheduling of lines/machines and placement of regional inventories in the network. The role will also serve as a link between Planning, Distribution and Refinery Operations for the lines or areas they are accountable. They are responsible for taking the overall planned needs of the organization and breaking them down into increments that can be met based on machine capacities and work shifts available. Accountable for cycle counts and physical inventory counts at associated 3PL warehouses. Must be a strong communicator, especially when there are challenges with production schedules and plans need to change, numerous parties need to be made aware. DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES - Very similar responsibilities as the Production Scheduler, but will only relate to the subset of materials in their responsibility. - Responsible for reviewing monthly plans sent from planning team and then use that information to create the refinery and machine schedules on a daily and weekly basis. This also requires reviewing the sales demand in SAP (ZM08) to insure service levels. - Must enter work orders for production and subsequently, delete them when necessary. - This person will be accountable for inventory management, which includes the local 3PL, and encompasses creating stock transfer orders (STOs) for replenishment. They will also manage the STOs that need to come back to the refinery from the 3PL to fulfill refinery orders. - Part of managing the inventory is determining when we need to redirect orders to other facilities. - Support S&OP process, by: - Tracking progress of S&OP calendars and events. - Preparing and update Excel templates used for data upload. Provide support in the preparation of Supply Chain Metrics to be discussed in the S&OP cycle. - Master data support for production planning. Coordinate activities related to data cleanup / correction - Distribute and redistribute orders as appropriate when there are issues with EWM. - Communicate with CSRs and Sales with updates and product availability via email. In some instances, communicate with customers directly on product availability. - Collaborate weekly with supply chain/corporate planning while developing the following weeks plan. - This role will need to be involved in reverse supply chain discussions and meetings. WORK EXPERIENCES - Background in Supply Chain Procurement, Manufacturing, Warehousing, Distribution, Logistics, Planning, Customer Service - SAP experience including Business Intelligence EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS - 2 years experience or degree in Business / Supply Chain - Degree preferred ESSENTIAL CAPABILITIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES) - Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Access - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Decision maker with strong negotiating skills - Attention to detail with the ability to multitask and prioritize - Must be a team player - Continuous Improvement experience a plus - Demonstrated ability to understand issues, develops plans and set metrics to measure progress towards goals
