    Job Description

We are seeking a technically grounded, high-visibility Project Manager to lead our Propulsion Systems (PRS) division. You will bridge the gap between commercial strategy and technical execution, managing a multi-country team of engineers specializing in E-Drive, Transmission, and Driveline systems.

This is a critical leadership role stationed within the Detroit automotive ecosystem, requiring a balance of technical oversight, financial acumen, and people operations.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Leadership & People Operations

    • Team Performance: Drive accountability across a multi-country team, ensuring high performance in all PRS delivery activities.

    • Talent Strategy: Lead local hiring, capacity planning, and capability building to meet project demands.

    • Mentorship & Culture: Act as the primary coach for your team, managing performance reviews, upskilling, and "attrition defense" to ensure continuity.

    • Operational Excellence: Serve as the internal "concierge" for HR, IT, and Finance; approve timesheets and manage global back-office capacity.

    2. Technical Oversight & Delivery

    • SME Support: Provide high-level guidance across E-Drive and Driveline domains to resolve complex engineering challenges.

    • Quality Metrics: Ensure all deliverables meet On Time Delivery (OTD) and First Time Right (FTR) standards.

    • 3. Client & Commercial Governance

    • Primary Interface: Act as the face of Segula to Client Program Managers, providing weekly progress reports and aligning on priorities.

    • Financial Management: Optimize global project margins (GM%), manage Purchase Orders (POs), and track fund depletion.

    • Strategic Growth: Support Key Account Managers (KAM) by identifying upselling opportunities and staff level increases.

    • Change Management: Coordinate CCD, CN, PER, and ICD processes to ensure consistency across programs.

      • Continuous Improvement: Monitor Supplier Quality Scores (SQS) and implement RETEX (Return of Experience) to standardize local processes.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Required:

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering.

    • Experience: 10+ years in automotive engineering, specifically within Propulsion Systems.

    • Leadership: Proven track record managing large, diverse engineering teams (30+ members).

    • Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of the DV/PV development lifecycle and the Detroit OEM ecosystem.

    • Communication: Expert stakeholder management skills with proficiency in Google Suite and MS Office.

    Preferred:

    • Hands-on experience with Design Release Engineering (DRE).

    • Familiarity with Design for Manufacturing (DfM) and assembly coordination.

    • Expertise in FMEA, DVP&R, and root cause analysis for pre-production builds.
