Qualifications
What You Need
- 5+ years of heavy aviation structures sheet metal mechanic experience
- Demonstrate skill level by successfully passing plate test
- Ability to pass skills assessments – verbal, virtual and hands on
- Experienced structural assembly, preferably on Boeing and Gulfstream products
- Ability to follow written, electronic and verbal instructions and work with minimal supervision
- Ability to read and understand blueprints
- Ability to wear a respirator and other safety gear
- Able to use a variety of fabrication hand tools and precision measuring instruments to make standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work
- Able to work from blueprints, sketches, work instructions
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
- Available to work 1st and/or 2nd shift after training as required
- Available to work overtime as required , including evenings and weekends
Physical Requirements
- Regularly lift/move up to 30 lbs.; occasionally up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent hand use; steady hand‑eye coordination
- Standing, walking, bending, reaching, and stooping
- Ability to work in varied physical positions
- Clear communication and hearing abilities
