Our 2019 Summer Internship Program provides real-world experience and an opportunity to build expertise and problem-solving capabilities. We offer a unique perspective into the world of food manufacturing with a maximum 12-week paid internship in our Human Resources group in Northbrook, IL. As a key player on the team, the Human Resources Intern will be exposed to several core competencies within the Human Resources job function. Key responsibilities include: * Good for You, Good for the Plant, and Good for the Communities initiative; support business efforts * Organize Diversity & Inclusion activities * Employee Engagement: support and drive communication * Lead and execute a Learning & Development activity

    • Other duties as assigned Qualified candidates will possess the following: * Currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Management, or Business Administration * Prior experience in managing people and handling of confidential information, a plus * Excellent writing skills * Demonstrated experience with project management and effective time management * Experience with developing and delivering presentations * Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) Ideal candidates will demonstrate the following: * Strong ability to work in teams and build good relationships high degree of personal integrity, trust and work ethics * Self-motivated with the ability to work independently * Ability to prioritize, multi-task and maintain attention to detail Want more information on what its like to be a Barilla Intern?
