We are looking for a Graduate student who will be working primarily with the Employer Relations team. Minimum Requirements Employer Relations Graduate Intern Description- The successful candidates will assist the Employer Relations Team in carrying out the Intern Job responsibilities described below. Responsibilities include: * Assists Career Center Events Coordinator in the planning and implementation of Career Center events throughout the year, including logistics, set-up, employer relations and volunteer recruitment. * Participates in Career Center Drop-In, advising students on resumes and major and career questions. * Presents Career Center workshops (Resume Development, Grad School, other) to student groups. * Participates as part of the Career Center graduate intern team. Attends weekly graduate intern meetings and on-going training. * Manages project area. (Social media, Career Center Drop-In scheduling, other) * Assist in marketing Career Center events. * Attends Career Center staff meetings and employer relations staff meetings. * Provides project support to Employer Relations staff as needed. Qualifications: Incoming first year graduate student or beginning second year of graduate program, at the time the position starts (7/30/18). Pursuing a MS/MA in Higher Education, Student Development in Higher Education, College Counseling and Student Development, Organizational Leadership or related degree. Strong organizational and communication abilities. Demonstrated understanding and sensitivity to diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic populations. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office. * 20 hr/week work sched. TBD. with occasional evenings & wkds. req'd * This position is part-time, temp, non-benefited, & paid bi-weekly w/hourly rate of 15.00 not to exceed $12,500 for asgmt. * Job asgmt: 7/30/18-5/17/19 * Must attend training: 7/30/18-8/10/18 M-F 8am-4pm Availability on Thursday mornings 8:30am - 11:00am throughout the employment period is required.
