    This posting is to create a pool of interested applicants from which the department may draw as sections become open at any point during the academic year. This posting may or may not result in hiring, dependent on our current needs, but we will keep applications on file. We are seeking adjunct Art, Music and Theatre Arts instructors for Cameron University in Duncan and/or Lawton.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Adjuncts holding this position may teach a maximum of 9 credit hours a semester. Other duties as assigned. We are especially interested in faculty who can teach graphic design and applied music.

     

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    For courses in baccalaureate programs, a Master’s Degree in the field of instruction is required. In some cases, a Bachelor’s degree. 18 hours of work in the specific field, and significant experience in the field can establish eligibility.

     

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    Master’s Degree in the appropriate field and significant teaching experience.

     

    SALARY:  

    Commensurate with experience and qualifications.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

     

    Work performed in showroom, back room and outside environment. The employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. Exposure to high temperatures during summer months and low temperatures during winter months while performing daily responsibilities. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones, and standard warehouse equipment/machinery such as hand trucks, box cutters, and inventory scanners.

     

    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

     

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is required to continuously walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, climb push/pull, grip and reach above shoulder level. The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 100 pounds unassisted, frequently lift and/or move objects up to 150 pounds with assistance. Must be able to go up on ladders to access heights up to 15 feet.
