    Engineering Support Representative Job Summary ** ** Essential Functions Provides location data for company facilities to internal and external construction and maintenance personnel. Distribute, monitor, track and archive external construction project plans. Supports Engineering Design clerical work order processes that meet construction and installation requirements; includes processing, monitoring, filing/archiving, researching, and reporting for permits, lane closures, TCPs (Traffic Control Plan), restoration/paving repairs, along with various other state, city and local permits. Basic Qualifications: * Provides company facility location information and extension and relocation reimbursement policy information to Government Public Works Departments, Engineering Consultations, Utility Coordinating Committee and customers. * Serves as liaison during initial stages of public improvement projects. * Provides preliminary project review for facility conflict and coordinate conflict resolution. * Receive and distribute project notifications for public improvement projects to the appropriate company designer. * Distribute, monitor, track and archive external construction project plans. * Serves as liaison with permitting authorities. * Files digital and paper records, and maintains both current and legacy filing systems. * Responds to customer inquiries (internal and external) for gas distribution system information. * Process construction notifications letter to send to residents. * Generate Engineering department activity reports for management review. * Performs general clerical duties for the engineering department. * Performs additional duties as assigned. Education: Requires a high school diploma or GED Experience: Requires a minimum of one (1) year of experience reading and interpreting engineering plans or performing other types of related engineering and/or construction work. Physical Requirements * Able to hear oral communication either in person or on equipment such as telephone or mobile phone. * Able to operate a personal computer, either desktop or laptop, for extended periods * Able to reach, grasp, bend, stoop and move items. * Able to sit, stand or walk for extended periods of time. * Able to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a minimal amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. * Able to operate office machines including telephone, photocopier, fax machine, calculator, laptop, mobile phone, digital camera, GPS equipment, etc. Working Conditions: * Able to support the Emergency Operating Plan. * Able to work indoors, in an office environment, regardless of whether open office, cubicle or private office. * Able to work in fast-paced environment with a high volume workload and frequent, short deadlines that may require working overtime to meet established deadlines, including working nights and/or weekends as required. * Able to travel occasionally to field locations to obtain data or inspect site and may include overnight stay for training events.
