Essential Duties: * Perform customer contact duties to resolve inquiries, answer routine line extension questions, gather and provide pertinent information to start electric service extensions, process customer meter orders, handle turndown and permits. * Conduct preliminary investigation into customer complaints and service inquiries, determine an appropriate course of action, and resolve when possible. * Perform all needed administrative duties including requisitioning and expediting requests for material, tools and office supplies; typing, distributing, and filing documents; maintaining customer files, preparing informational letters, agreement letters, contracts, easements, payment coupons, and work authorizations; maintenance of electronic employee time records, and vacation and work schedules. * Maintain all work order system records. Open and close orders, resolve problems with accuracy. * Communicate with Distribution Operations personnel to learn job status or schedule. * Interface with building maintenance personnel as needed to ensure repair and maintenance of facilities. * Provide primary telephone coverage for the Distribution Operations office and process the requests of external and internal customers. Qualifications Education: Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of basic mathematics, English grammar and punctuation. Experience: Requires a minimum of three years of related experience performing clerical and/or administrative duties, including proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet and e-mail software.
