    Job Description

    We are seeking an Advanced Design Engineer to support the design and development of new vehicles that meet future regulatory requirements and customer expectations. This position focuses on vehicle architecture, packaging, and early-stage systems and component engineering, while resolving packaging and adaptation issues as vehicles progress toward production.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Establish physical and functional integration of vehicle systems and components during the concept through program approval phases.

    • Translate strategic and functional objectives into technical requirements.

    • Create and analyze alternative design concepts.

    • Package and integrate systems and components; benchmark competitive vehicles.

    • Lead extended cross-functional teams to balance requirements and deliver optimal solutions.

    • Present design concepts to higher-level management.

    • Serve as Chassis System lead responsible for:

      • Concept development through kinematic/compliance modeling and structural analysis.

      • Component design and CAE analysis.

      • Vehicle packaging using NX.

      • Maintaining model integrity in Teamcenter.

      • Supporting development activities.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited or equivalent).

    • 5+ years of vehicle engineering experience in Chassis Systems, including at least 2 years in suspension design/development.

    • Expertise with Teamcenter, NX CAD Software, and Vis Mockup, including ability to:

      • Develop preproduction and manage production CAD data structures.

      • Position/manipulate models, cut sections, and analyze existing designs.

      • Create and analyze alternative designs and integrate systems/components.

      • Build specialized CAD sessions for management reviews.

    • Strong communication skills to lead and coordinate issue resolution.

    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.

    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.

    • Results-driven mindset.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Master of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited).

    • Broad vehicle knowledge.

    • Ability to integrate stakeholder requirements into final vehicle design.

    • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

    • Ability to manage change productively.

    • Skilled in presenting ideas/concepts to all levels of management.

    • Strong MS Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
