    Accounts Receivable Associate Location: * Washington, DC Department: F&A - Accounting Job Level: Mid-Level Employment Type: Full time Regular/Temporary: Regular Description Chemonics seeks an Invoicing Associate for the Finance & Accounting Division. The Invoicing Associate is responsible for performing day-to-day invoicing operations duties, which include ensuring proper invoicing procedures are followed by finance and project management staff. We are seeking individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world. Responsibilities include: Prepare monthly client invoices, which include invoice certifications and attachments for each contract Setup new contracts, billing codes, budget, rates and modifications in financial system for billing; setup new business, project management non-billable, and general operations codes in the financial system Update Fixed Daily Rate (FDR) in accounting system monthly; input contract ceiling increases in accounting system, and update current Negotiated Indirect Cost Rate (NICRA) tables Performs monthly work-in-progress (WIP) reconciliation and prepares monthly report of discrepancies for CFO Prepare reclaim vouchers and invoice disallowances Calculate and book award fees Book and prepare internal invoices for Federal Letter of Credit (LOC) grants Prepare contract summary report and send to cash management on a monthly basis Reconcile time and material report for incurred cost rate submission monthly; update errors found Assists in contract closeouts by research outstanding contract balances and prepare final NICRA and invoice Liaise with other F&A departments and project management units on invoicing corrections Review and audit budget setup and rates per contract Assist with annual financial and incurred cost rate audits in providing backup documentation and system review with the auditors Performs other duties as required Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance or related field required Minimum one year of experience with Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Payroll, Cost and Pricing, or Invoicing required Prior experience with Accounting software required; Solomon preferred Experience with government contracting, knowledge of contract types preferred Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing; strong cross-culture communication and sensitivity skills Demonstrated ability to handle routine administrative tasks and operational issues Ability to multitask with strong attention to detail, organization, and time management Demonstrated ability to follow standard practices and procedures, receive general instruction and supervision, and contribute to projects and initiatives Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Strong customer service and interpersonal skills Demonstrated resourcefulness in problem-solving and initiative to learn new skills Strong knowledge of MS Office applications Language proficiency for geographic area assigned preferred Previous experience working in international development and/or living or conducting volunteer work in developing countries preferred Willingness to travel and work abroad in less developed countries for at least 4 to 8 weeks a year Application Instructions: Apply through our Career Center at https://chk.tbe.taleo.net/chk05/ats/careers/jobSearch.jsp?org=CHEMONICS&cws=1 by November 18, 2018.
