    Job Description

    Segula Technologies is seeking a Cost Engineering Analyst to support internal combustion engine (ICE) propulsion programs through detailed manufacturing cost analysis. This role focuses on activity-based costing, supplier quote evaluation, and Design-to-Cost initiatives across engine and driveline components.

    You will work closely with engineering, purchasing, suppliers, and leadership teams to develop accurate variable and tooling cost estimates throughout the product development lifecycle.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop technical variable and tooling cost estimates using activity-based costing methodologie
    • Analyze Bills of Materials (BOMs), engineering drawings, specifications, and samples to determine piece cost and tooling investment
    • Review and challenge supplier quotes, including EDD, to align on accurate cost assumptions.
    • Support Design-to-Cost initiatives and benchmarking activities
    • Build and maintain detailed cost models reflecting manufacturing processes, tooling strategies, and production assumptions
    • Provide cost subject matter expertise to engineering, purchasing, and leadership teams
    • Manage multiple programs while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
    • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing and/or cost engineering, including development of EDD, variable, and tooling costs for automotive components
    • Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing processes, including: Iron and aluminum casting, Forging, Machining, turning, and grinding, Stamping and welding, Final assembly processes
    • Ability to translate manufacturing processes into specific, defensible cost estimate
    • Working knowledge of forming tools and fixtures and their associated tooling and investment costs
    • Experience with activity-based costing methodologies and cost model development
    • Strong attention to detail with ability to manage multiple program and cost elements simultaneously
    • Effective leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills (written and verbal)
    • Demonstrated Design-to-Cost capability for new component development.
    • Proficiency with NX and Teamcenter
