    PAY: Up to $30.00 - $35.00 per hour (Depending on experience)

    HOURS: Monday-Friday; 7:00AM-3:30PM

    TITLE : Diesel Technician

    LOCATION: 13930 Missouri Bottom Road Bridgeton, Missouri 63044

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on gas, propane, electric and diesel engines
    • Perform equipment diagnostics and determine what repairs are needed, if required
    • Prepare all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments
    • Maintain current product knowledge of equipment
    • Maintain knowledge of changing technologies in the industry
    • Maintain condition of vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment
    • Perform safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documentation
    • Perform shop clean-up and housekeeping responsibilities
    • Use proper procedures for the handling and disposal of hazardous waste materials
    • Other duties as assigned

    SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Ability to perform duties in an efficient and safe manner
    • Ability to wear prescribed uniform and appropriate safety equipment
    • Ability to execute work within standard repair times
    • Ability to use a computer including shop maintenance program
    • Successfully pass background check, drug screen, and physical ability test
    • Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes
    • Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and inspection criteria
    • Ability to think logically and keep up with changes in technology
    • Ability to read, write and speak in English
    • Must possess a strong work ethic and good problem-solving skills
    • Must have own tools
    • Regular and reliable attendance

    Education and Experience:

    • 3 years of diesel service education and technical experience
    • 5 years' experience in general heavy truck repair, automotive repair or equipment repair

    Physical Requirements

    • Constant standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, grasping, and feeling
    • Occasionally work in cramped and awkward positions
    • Lift objects of various shapes, sizes and weights up to 40 lbs.

    This position reports to the General Manager.
