PAY: Up to $30.00 - $35.00 per hour (Depending on experience)
HOURS: Monday-Friday; 7:00AM-3:30PM

TITLE : Diesel Technician
LOCATION: 13930 Missouri Bottom Road Bridgeton, Missouri 63044
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on gas, propane, electric and diesel engines
- Perform equipment diagnostics and determine what repairs are needed, if required
- Prepare all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments
- Maintain current product knowledge of equipment
- Maintain knowledge of changing technologies in the industry
- Maintain condition of vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment
- Perform safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documentation
- Perform shop clean-up and housekeeping responsibilities
- Use proper procedures for the handling and disposal of hazardous waste materials
- Other duties as assigned
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to perform duties in an efficient and safe manner
- Ability to wear prescribed uniform and appropriate safety equipment
- Ability to execute work within standard repair times
- Ability to use a computer including shop maintenance program
- Successfully pass background check, drug screen, and physical ability test
- Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and inspection criteria
- Ability to think logically and keep up with changes in technology
- Ability to read, write and speak in English
- Must possess a strong work ethic and good problem-solving skills
- Must have own tools
- Regular and reliable attendance
Education and Experience:
- 3 years of diesel service education and technical experience
- 5 years' experience in general heavy truck repair, automotive repair or equipment repair
Physical Requirements
- Constant standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, grasping, and feeling
- Occasionally work in cramped and awkward positions
- Lift objects of various shapes, sizes and weights up to 40 lbs.
