    Shenandoah University’s office of Pharmacy Practice is accepting applications for an Experiential Education Compliance Coordinator. This is a full-time benefited position located on our Health Professions Campus in Winchester, Virginia.

    The Experiential Education Compliance Coordinator will facilitate the delivery of the Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experience (IPPE) and Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) programs at the School of Pharmacy. The Experiential Education Compliance Coordinator will interact with students, preceptors, faculty, and staff. This position requires the ability to work in a team environment as well as independently. This position reports to the Director of Experiential Education.

    • Perform activities involved in daily operations of the IPPE and APPE programs. • Work within the experiential education learning management system for pertinent items related to IPPE, APPE, and site-specific onboarding requirements. o To include student requirements, student assignments, and running reports related to student and preceptor data. • Assist experiential staff, faculty, preceptors, and students with the experiential learning management system. • Assure all new preceptors and/or sites have been reviewed and approved by the school. • Conduct and ensure the completion of regular quality assessments of IPPE and APPE sites and preceptors. • Maintain updated affiliation agreements and ensure compliance with all site requirements, which may require coordination of the review process with SU’s legal team. • Ensure student compliance with all health and site requirements needed to complete the IPPE and/or APPE curriculum. • Schedule necessary drug screenings, and other testing clinics (e.g. PPD) and verify students comply with testing requirements. • Maintain grade books for IPPE and APPE rotations. • Maintain and process site payments and all other requisitions for experiential education. • Work collaboratively with the Experiential Education Department and the Dean of Assessment to collect data, analyze, and develop reports related to experiential learning for stakeholders. • Participate in School of Pharmacy and University activities as requested.

    REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES • Ability to demonstrate initiative, judgment, and discretion in carrying out duties. • Knowledge of proficient use of computer hardware and software, and other contemporary office equipment. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to perform basic math calculations. • Knowledge of applicable policies, practices, and procedures. • Good organization and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize and provide attention to details. • Other related experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements.

    Required Experience

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE • High school graduate or equivalent plus completion of some college. An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is preferred. • Experience working within healthcare education is preferred. • Experience working with graduate students is preferred. COMPUTER APPLICATION AND OTHER SKILLS Ability to use the computer with knowledge of the following computer applications with training on additional software as needed in the job position. • Microsoft Office Suite • Database reporting using Excel • Google Drive/Doc • Virtual collaboration applications (i.e. chat, video conference) • Adobe Acrobat pro • Ability to learn new programs, websites, and/or software, such as the University’s Learning Management System
