Job Summary - This intern position is in the Substation Equipment Data Management department of the Electric Transmission Substation Operations group. This intern position will work under direction of experienced team members to assist with development and maintenance of data systems supporting business unit monitoring, analytics, and asset management activities. - Assist with requirements gathering by gaining exposure to engineering, compliance, and asset management concepts fundamental to the business unit. - Work with asset management team to record and monitor asset data, and schedule and track maintenance policy and related work order information through all stages of asset life cycle. - With supervision, develop programming code to meet requirements for small-scale, single-source applications in support of business needs - Perform analysis of asset information and historical records in support of engineering studies, compliance initiatives, and audit support and documentation. - Assist with coordination between end-user business groups and local and enterprise level IT support groups to obtain needed resources and integrate new development with existing systems. - Under direction of experienced team members, perform SAP database configuration, SharePoint site development, and other activities requiring elevated privileges to ensure business applications continue to meet changing business needs. - Perform other duties as requested or assigned Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience - 0-2 years related experience - Basic knowledge of foundational software concepts, including data structures and process flow - Basic knowledge of operating system concepts - Planning, organizational and project management skills with the ability to facilitate and/or work on multiple project teams simultaneously - Analytical and problem solving skills - Detail-oriented and quality-focused - Good oral and written communication skills - Valid drivers license required. Education Requirements - Students must be working towards completing a bachelors degree at a 4-year university - Preferred degree in Information Technology or a Business related field - Students must have a graduation date between May 2020 and May 2021 - Candidates must have a 2.5 GPA or greater - Valid drivers license required.
