At this time, Dominion Energy cannot transfer nor sponsor a work visa for this position. Job Summary Electrical Engineer for an entry-level position at the Innsbrook Office in Glen Allen, VA. This position will provide procurement engineering support of electrical and electronic systems that support nuclear power generations. Included duties: - Enter Dominions accredited nuclear support staff training program to develop power plant knowledge and understanding of nuclear power generation, core competencies, systems, programs, and regulations. - Develop technical and quality assurance specifications in support of purchasing nuclear plant materials and services, derived from plant system design and programmatic requirements. - Develop commercial grade dedication plans for acceptance testing and inspection of commercial grade products in accordance with EPRI NP-5652 to verify suitability for use as a basic components in accordance with 10 CFR 21.3. - Perform evaluations of alternate replacement items to meet system and component design basis requirements. - Ability to identify failure effects and perform failure modal analysis of a variety of electrical and electronic commodities, analog and digital systems and sub-systems, instrumentation and control equipment, and power generating and distribution equipment. - Serve as the Technical Specialist in support of quality assurance audits and surveys at vendors facilities in support of product manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with nuclear quality assurance requirements and industry standards. - Perform other duties as requested or assigned Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience - Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineer degree from an accredited ABET institution. - 6 months -1 year of experience required - Knowledge of engineering theories and principles. - Strong leadership skills with proven ability to serve as team project lead. - Provide guidance to less experienced engineers. - Ability to interpret codes, regulations and practices. - Equally effective working independently or in team environment. - Ability to process information quickly and effectively manages multiple tasks. - Strong verbal and written communication skills Possess a 4-year engineering degree from a non-ABET accredited program and a post-graduate engineering degree from an institution where the undergraduate degree in the same engineering discipline is ABET accredited based on the year the engineering program was accredited by ABET, orPossess a 4-year degree in Physics, Chemistry or Math and a post-graduate engineering degree from an institution where the undergraduate degree in the same engineering discipline is ABET accredited based on the year the engineering program was accredited by ABET, orHolds or has previously held a valid U.S. Professional Engineer license.
