Expediting Specialist Job Locations US-MA-Andover Job ID 2018-1696 # of Openings 1 Category Engineering and Construction Overview The Expediting Specialist will join the Engineering & Construction division of Enel Green Power North America, being part of the Project Team to build new renewable power plants. Responsible for the monitoring of quality and timing of all the supplies, from Purchase Order until Ex-Works/Pre-shipment Responsibilities Within Project Management Unit, Expediting & Logistics, main duties are the followings: Plan and coordinate Expediting and Inspection activities at supplier facility; Be the main contact person with supplier/contractor for all the manufacturing related aspects of the components for relevant EGP project; Report within the Project Team and to line manager the status and criticalities of supplies; Witness in first person or through external inspection bodies the main manufacturing milestone (Intermediate test, Factory Acceptance Testing, Pre-Shipment) at supplier facility; Ensure the proper validation of Quality Control Plan/Inspection Test Plan received by Contractor/Suppliers; Ensure a smooth communication with Logistic Specialist and with the other members of the Project Team; Responsible of the validation of the manufacturing related payment milestone; Lead the NCR (Non Conformity) follow-up and resolution for the manufacturing related issues; Share the lessons learned and criticalities with the worldwide Expediting and Inspection Unit; For his/her domain of expertise, to develop best practices and to be the ence person inside the organization to support other Expediting Specialist in other countries. Other responsibilities: Manage the contract with external Inspection Bodies: Including selection of inspector, inspection report review, inspector rating and pro-forma invoice release; Perform Technical Evaluation of Inspection Bodies during tender for new expediting service provider; Perform Factory Assessment at supplier facilities; Assess and comply with budget of Expediting Services during project execution; Support the Business Development Team, and Project Engineer, on the definition of Expediting and Inspection activities during the development phase of the project; Support other function in case of failure on tested equipment. Qualifications BS Degree in electrical/mechanical/industrial engineering. Experience in Quality Control of High Voltage Equipment fabrication is pred; 3+ years in similar position, in particular as Product Quality Engineer/Inspector Coordinator/Inspector/Expediting Manager; Understanding of wind/solar power plants components functionality; Knowledge of manufacturing and production cycles, as well as quality arrangement in place in factory; Knowledge in at least of one of the two following domains: Wind Turbine Generator components; Electrical components part of a typical step-up station (power transformer, gas insulated switchgear, circuit breakers, etc); Advanced knowledge of Office package (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); Good knowledge of basic elements of Project Management; Availability to travel; Capable to work in international, multi-cultural and multidisciplinary team.
