Engineering & Technology: Logistics Engineering Internship Summer 2024
Job Summary:
Under routine supervision, this internship will be responsible for participating in development tasks and projects as part of an engineering team. This internship is designed to give students the opportunity to extend their classroom learning and receive industry experience, while still completing their degree.
Interns are provided with targeted training classes, mentoring, cross-functional team experiences, and a community of like-minded engineers evaluating opportunities in the ever-evolving transportation industry. J.B. Hunt’s culture of community involvement is put into action through a variety of employee-led community service projects throughout Northwest Arkansas. Upon completion of this internship program, you will be well-positioned to pursue a career path involving real-world problem solving in a vibrant corporate environment. Please note this position is expected to work 40 hours per week for the duration of the internship.
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist team on various projects in the areas of: supply chain network design, data science, process improvement, optimization, project management and much more!
• Perform limited analysis and design tasks
• Expand knowledge of the transportation industry and related systems
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualification: Must be currently enrolled in technology related degree program such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or Industrial Engineering at an accredited academic institution. Have and maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.75, with a 3.0 in the major field of study.
Preferred Qualification: Preference will be given to applicants who are enrolled (or have just completed) a course of study in Information Technology, Industrial Engineering, or applicable degree field at an accredited university or junior college.
