Job responsibilities may include: -handle customer service -trace bills of lading instructions -key in, proofread, and issue bills of lading -process cargo bookings - communicate pick-up numbers to customers/brokers in a timely manner -resolve Customs and Border Protection issues -prepare tariff rules, rates, and service contract filings -monitor, analyze, and report performance of trades including all related aspects -dispatch door shipments and coordinate with truckers to ensure timely delivery -process invoices related to shipside operations -update equipment status and activity -trace overdue equipment This is a union represented position and subject to a collective bargaining agreement. Qualifications Qualifications Candidates applying for this position must possess a Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience. The candidate must exhibit strong verbal communication skills, computer proficiency, and must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship. While no experience is necessary, knowledge of or an interest in international shipping and logistics is a plus. Compensation/Benefits Compensation/Benefits The starting wage rate is $22 per hour.
