Job Description
As Logistics Project Manager, you will own the operational management and process compliance. The Value recovery program focuses on getting the best value for the customer for assets in the supply chain through appropriate disposal through Remarketing or Recycling channels.
This position will work cross-functionally with internal logistics teams, 3PL’s, vendors and other partner teams. It requires ability to be flexible, excellent communication skills and ability to navigate through conflicting priorities for different stakeholders. The right candidate will have considerable operations experience, strong project management experience and a good understanding of analytics.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day business for recycling and remarketing operations
- Work with 3rd Party Logistics partners to establish processes, solve complex challenges, and establish corrective action plans
- Drive alignment and prioritization of initiatives in a fast paced environment with many interdependencies
- Manage and monitor metrics for Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and support with process improvements
- Hold others accountable to the project schedule and required deliverables.
- Be able to proactively escalate risks/delays associated to a project when required
- Maintain knowledge of customer policies on all aspects of product movement
- Research customer inquiries and resolve issues in a timely manner
- Create documented process for customers when requested - SOP/SWI creation
- Articulate process improvement ideas to Supervisor/Manager
- Appropriately escalates complex issues to the next level of management
- Highlight potential issues (big or small) to direct Supervisor/Manager
- Attend meetings with the customer for process enhancements and/or failure post mortem
- All other tasks as required
