    Job Description

    SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:

    To lead and assist in our relentless pursuit of efficiency and operational Excellence.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Learn and understand proper usage of existing systems and tools by GEO’s and Operations

    • Assist in introducing new processes to our operations in our pursuit of relentless efficiency

    • Assist in rolling out new operating systems and related tools – and provide meaningful feedback

    • Take direction from District Business Operations

    • Support local DBO to identify opportunities to improve quality, service, compliance, and profitability through the pursuit of efficiency and consistency

    • Help to identify and prioritize problem areas within business operations through communication with operational staff and via [observation, process mapping, timing studies, and other] process analysis methods

    • Understand Monitor District Excellence metrics and support with promoting behaviors and processes to close the performance gap within the district

    • Work alongside the District Analytics (if applicable) to deliver reporting and automation to the field

    • Conduct monthly operational assessments with local DBO

    • KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND BEHAVIORS:

      KNOWLEDGE:

    • Global Logistics industry

    • Understanding of Expeditors Systems and procedures

    • SKILLS:

    • Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, effectively communicate and concisely obtain positive results

    • Pro-active and strong organizational skills

    • Good computer skills (Microsoft Office)

    • BEHAVIORS:

    • Positive and willing to help attitude

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Expeditors Product and Service knowledge
    • Understanding of Process Fundamentals
    • Strong PC and analytical skills, including experience with Microsoft Office
    • Effective project management skills
    • Effective interpersonal skills, with ability to relate to employees at all levels
    • Proficient in Project Management Tools and Process
    • Strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
    • Fluent in English
