    Job Description

    A Program Analyst for Account Management is a highly motivated individual who is passionate about data and committed to empowering business owners with data analytics and tools. 

    The primary responsibility of a Program Business Analyst is to seek to create and deliver new data and reporting solutions that will enhance the Account Management program. They are responsible to provide expert guidance when defining and analyzing business requirements while improving the methods of how we deliver information to our stakeholders. A Program Business Analyst serves as a subject matter expert when it comes to all internal data and reporting for the Account Management Program. They will act as a business stakeholder for the collaboration and development efforts made with IS and other departments within the Expeditors corporate organization. An outstanding Program Analyst should have strong project management, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

    RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

    • Create reporting solutions based on the needs of the Account Management program.
    • Deliver reporting solutions that help to drive data-driven business development decisions.
    • Implementing and staging external data sources for sustainable reporting.
    • Develop KPIs and reporting to monitor the success of the various programs within Account Management.
    • Define a project and analyze system requirements.
    • Identify data and format needed to support customized solutions.
    • Recognize challenges to data requirements seeking alternative solutions within the Expeditors network.
    • Source information across multiple data warehouses, including external data sources.
    • Construct data merging mechanism and implement database maintenance.
    • Serve as a subject matter expert when it comes to internal data and reporting for the Account Management program.
    • Participate as a business stakeholder in prioritizing efforts and projects with IS.
    • Meet regularly with other internal data and reporting stakeholders to stay aligned and in the know of what other teams are developing and supporting.
    • Research new platforms and toolsets in an effort to expand and improve our solution offerings as it related to data and reporting for the program.

    • University or equivalent business qualifications
    • Proven work experience in business development
    • Proficient in MS Office or CRM software
    • Ability to design creative solutions to meet business needs
    • Knowledge of required Expeditors operating solutions
    • Strong visual presentation skills
    • Proven project management skills
    • Proven problem-solving and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to design creative solutions to meet business needs.
    • Strong analytical skills
    • Effective interpersonal and communication skills - ability to relate to employees at all levels.
    • Experienced SQL for DB2, Vertica, SQL Server
    • Experienced with Business Intelligence software and data visualization, such as Power BI
    • Experienced with javascript or other scripting languages
    • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel

    Additional Information

    Location Chicago or Seattle.

    Constantly improve knowledge of Expeditors’ operational procedures, systems, and technologies.

    Maintain 52 hours of training annually with a focus on systems training and operations.
