Job Description
SCOPE OF POSITION
Gather and analyze pricing data to develop pricing strategy for sales and existing customers, improving structure and efficiency while increasing profits. Feed updated pricing into the network and distribute to the proper operational channels timely.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Present quotes to product, sales, account management and network
- Provide regular and ad hoc pricing analysis and reporting
- Receive and update global rate revisions and disseminate to appropriate level
- Validate sales quotations for accuracy and profitability.
- Monitor contract rates and alter local pricing in conjunction with market conditions
- Take initiative in identifying and resolving issues around pricing and margin.
- Analyze market dynamics, pricing trends, market opportunities, operating and sales margins in order to develop customer-specific reports, procedures and tools for pricing and quoting
- Help decipher customer rates to correct billing discrepancies
- Measure close ratio of quotes provided
- Communicate with carriers, as needed, to leverage volumes, understand equipment availability and collect market intelligence
- Follow outlined pricing process using the Quoting Tool and other systems
