IT Application Controls Manager- Financial Information Systems
Job Description
Expeditors is seeking an IT Controls Specialist to join the Financial Information Systems team. This role’s primary responsibility is to maintain and improve the Company’s business application automated process controls and related documentation to ensure compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX). This position works closely with the Company’s business process and business application owners, IT Development team, internal auditors, and external auditors. This role is a fantastic opportunity to understand our systems and operations across the Company and directly impact an area of high importance and significance.
Qualifications
Required Education/Certification:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Auditing, Accounting or equivalent related work or military experience.
• CISA certification(s) beneficial, but not required.
Required Knowledge:
• Strong understanding of IT compliance principles associated with Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act as well as the SEC Interpretive Guidance on Management’s Assessment of Internal Control Over Financial Reporting.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the Committee of Sponsoring Organizations (COSO) Internal Control – Integrated Framework (2013) and current standards of the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB).
Required Experience:
• 5+ years of experience with IT and Finance SOX compliance at a Big 4, management consulting firm, or large/complex information services department (logistics industry experience a plus).
• Proven track record of influencing and educating key business and information services stakeholders including developers, quality assurance, process and control owners on the concepts of business application automated process controls and IT SOX compliance requirements.
• Experience with technical process flow mapping as well as design and documentation of business application automated process controls.
• Business analyst experience a plus.
• Experience/knowledge of Scaled Agile Framework® (SAFe®) a plus.

Additional Information
Compensation: between $110,000 and $140,000 per year.
