    Job Description

    This is an exciting opportunity to work onsite with our customer, combining the best in logistics operations and innovative technology. The Command Center Analyst works within a global team and is responsible for facilitating the safe and timely transport of international freight as it moves through the supply chain network. Applies technical transportation logistics experience and superior communication skills to resolve key business problems and exceed customer expectations. Works closely with cross-functional departments, product managers and vendors to identify new or improved solutions to Command Center processes and systems on a global scale. We are looking for someone who is analytical with strong attention to detail, works collaboratively within a team, has excellent written and oral communication skills with an unyielding focus on the customer experience. Must have experience in transportation logistics, be self-motivated, highly adaptable, have an inherent sense of urgency, and thrive in a fast-paced agile environment.

    Duties may include: incident and exception management; shipment research, identification, and escalation; incident root cause analysis; customer service; carrier coordination and performance reporting; metrics collection and information management; report preparation and upstream information dissemination.

    Major Duties and Responsibilities: 

    • Coordinate with warehouses, carriers, and service providers to actively monitor shipments
    • Proactively manage delayed shipments and work with international carriers to devise recovery strategies to meet service level agreements (SLA)
    • Active track/trace/monitoring of shipments displayed in the Network Management Center
    • Collaborate with team members to create and provide presentations on carrier/vendor performance
    • Ensure regional/global operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met 
    • Action and advise all carrier and customer directed inquiries
    • Coordinate and execute handoffs to appropriate parties for claims, root cause analysis, and investigations
    • Cross-functional communication and teamwork 
    • Enhance relationships with business units, vendors, other carriers, etc.
    • Other duties as may be required
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    •  
    • 2-5 years of transportation and logistics experience
    • International Import/Export experience, IATA Certification and/or Broker’s License a plus
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Solution driven.
    • Well versed in Microsoft Office or Google Business tools, particularly database systems
    • Strong ability to multitask and prioritize work as needed 
    • Ability to anticipate issues/negative outcomes and work to resolve proactively
    • Strong organizational, time management, and written/oral communication skills
    • Ability to adapt in dynamic, agile work environment
    • Aptitude for learning new software applications and technology platforms
    • Highly motivated, results-driven attitude
