    Job Description

    Based at the customer site, the Logistics Program Manager will work with business leads to define, and manage business processes, and technology roadmaps.  The PM will manage change and implement new ideas effectively within the Customer culture.  The PM will influence decisions and change management through collaboration, leadership, and a customer-focused approach. The PM provides functional subject matter expertise and anticipates customers' needs. 

    A successful PM, will interface with partners inside and outside the Customer Organization, gather and synthesize detailed global business requirements, and assess current and future business processes (As-Is and To-Be). The program manager will need to apply analytical skills to rationalize change, lead brainstorming sessions to gather requirements, and help manage complex projects to major milestones. 

    As a logistics program manager you will support the high volumes of transactions in the Atlanta operations, as well as, support and resolve any discrepancies and aging orders that are taking extensive time to research. You will also support stabilizing the operation to upgrade the warehouse management system. 

    OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    • Successfully meet all the agreed KPIs
    • Build, maintain and expand the relationship with the customer
    • Build business cases to support any logistics changes 
    • Work on longer term process improvements & documentation 
    • Support the operation to upgrade the warehouse management system as well as the automation implementation

    TOP DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    • Be the single point of contact to support all AMER Packaging Operations exceptions & Operational Reporting
    • Manage and monitor metrics for Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and support with process improvements
    • Day-to-Day vendor operations management 
    • Drive alignment and prioritization of initiatives in a fast paced environment with many interdependencies

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Create and manage project plans based on business requirements
    • Set project timelines, tasks, and milestones. Define the critical and noncritical paths of a project
    • Effectively manage project expectations from multiple stakeholders
    • Hold workshops and meetings with small to large audiences
    • Present project status reports to internal and external stakeholders
    • Lead and manage day-to-day operational aspects of the project(s)
    • Be able to lead multiple projects simultaneously
    • Monitor 3PL KPIs
    • Driving improvement initiatives
    • RCCA Management
    • Hold others accountable to the project schedule and required deliverables.
    • Be able to proactively escalate risks/delays associated to a project when required
    • Review and update the team's processes and procedures where required with a continuous process improvement mindset
    • Develop and utilize “best practices” and methodologies from various project management and business disciplines. Train other members of the team in fundamentals of project management
    • Supports and analyze packaging forecast

    Manage and be accountable for project and program delivery as outlined [but not limited to] below: 

    • Facilitate cross functional meetings with hubs, spokes and transportation, and publish meeting notes and action items
    • Create and maintain pilots and project tracker 
    • Create a consolidated view by site of the pilots to be supported and the upcoming volumes to create a single view of site activities.  
    • Other duties as required.
    • Periodic travel to sites will be required.  (~10-35% travel)
     
    
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Must have a Bachelor Degree in a related field or commensurate experience. Masters preferred. 
    • Minimum 3 years of demonstrated project/program management experience.
    • PMI, PRINCE, or Six Sigma, certification is strongly preferred. 
    • 2-3 Years of supply chain or logistics experience preferred. 
    • Effective communication skills. Must be able to speak and write effectively.
    • Ability to define, develop & document business processes and procedures.
    • Excellent customer service skills.
    • Self-starter and the ability to work in a fast paced environment, with very little oversight. 
    • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Projects, VISIO or any other Project tools
    • Experience with Smartsheet and Gantt Charts
    • Knowledge of Google Products is preferred.
