Job Description
The Operations Project Manager leads and manages process and tools automation projects that support our relentless pursuit of efficiency and operational Excellence, in all product departments CHB, DST including warehouse, TCS and Air/Ocean), while constantly driving efficiency, productivity, profitability and growth by identifying innovated solutions on processes and systems.
Key Deliverables
- Proactively monitor the following key metrics to achieve the expected results:.
- Employee Development - Complete 52 hours training per year (4.33 per month)
- Complete all required training timely.
General responsibilities:
- Ensure alignment with Corridor initiatives and deployments. Communicate with department Managers and Management to work on challenges.
- Ensure strong knowledge and proper use of all Expeditor systems and tools.
- Efficient management and coordination, along with product Managers, all departments' projects and initiatives (CHB, DST including warehouse, TCS and Air/Ocean).
- Build healthy cross-functional relationships. Promote team spirit, cohesiveness and effective collaborations with all staff members.
- Contributes to execute the operations departments’ TBP goals and aggressively drive progress towards end results.
- Conduct regular meetings with branch operations manager to communicate progress status.
- Own self-development and execute on personal development goals.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular meetings with operations teams and other departments and project stakeholders as needed.
- Contribute to a global operational standard to create and protect the pursuit of a Best-in-Class operation.
- Identify opportunities, analyze root cause, drive efficiencies in the optimization of operational processes, systems and tools and implement sustainable solutions, (e.g., dashboards, monitors, reports, etc.)
- Continuously improve the productivity and quality of the service to our customers, through data analysis and technology solutions.
- Monitor the efficiency of existing tools and systems, evaluate results to identify any potential discrepancy.
- Prioritize problem areas within the product departments through communication with operational staff and via observation, process mapping, timing studies, and other process improvement methodologies
- Manage projects execution from initiation to implementation, ensure adherence to the scope, project schedule, progress of development tools and validation of efficiencies.
- Work alongside with District Business Operations (DBO) and IS (when applicable), to ensure the proper automation and deployment. Ensure alignment with our core systems.
- Develop optimum efficient processes without sacrificing compliance, oversight or controls.
- Collaborate with Operations Managers to implement best practices of tools and process enhancements that can be replicated for different customers.
- Escalate necessary issues to Branch Operations Manager.
